Biography
Ed Lavado is an associate attorney with Pack Law Group. He grew up in New England, where he developed an appreciation for the region’s cold winters and vibrant fall colors. In 2008, he moved to Virginia and began his career in law enforcement. From 2009 to 2022, Ed served in various roles for both local and state agencies, including Field Training Officer, General Instructor, K9 handler, and undercover operative. He also earned certification as a marksman through the FBI. While working, Ed pursued higher education and obtained both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in criminal justice. His experiences in law enforcement inspired him to attend law school, and he graduated from Liberty University School of Law. After passing the Virginia State Bar, Ed started his legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney before transitioning to defense work. His extensive background in the criminal justice system contributes to his confidence in the courtroom.
Ed is known for his attentive listening skills and genuine care for his clients. His unique perspective comes from having trained law enforcement officers and working as a prosecutor, equipping him with valuable insights into both sides of the legal system. Having dedicated his adult life to serving the government, he is now committed to advocating for his clients. Outside of work, Ed is a devoted family man. He often spends time with his wife and children, enjoying multiple weekend getaways that allow their young ones to explore new places. One of their favorite destinations is the Outer Banks, where they enjoy beach fishing in Hatteras.
